Um, I was going to write an intelligent comment, but...

    Hot tuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuub!

  • alterEGGO

I would so love to buy it. But....I would need money and to move away from here and away from the water and to heat. I don't do heat well...at all!

  • DanishDoll

WOW! That is really a beautiful home! I am sure you will sell it quickly. You are mentioning all the good stuff, too!

  • FreeeVerse

Your house is HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE. Seriously. And I recc'ed this so people can come and see!

P.S. How much are you asking for? (Not that I'm gonna buy it, but I just wanted to know, haha.)

  • TheCheshireGrins

There's no way that that you could teleport the house to DC, is there? It's gorgeous!

  • X_naomi_X

can i have it? It looks GORGEOUS! Where is this?  sigh.

  • Daithi

That is a really nice house. I'm sure you'll have no problem getting potential buyers.

  • BigToePeople

@Amarisa - You know, I always wanted a hot tub. It was his surprize gift for me after we got engaged and he moved to TX and I stayed in Okinawa for 10 more months. But we hardly ever use it anymore because it's not great for baby making. Half the month I'm afraid to sit in it incase I'm pregnant and the rest of the time I wonder if we should be doing it because it could cook his swimmers! We actually don't make it THAT hot, but I still sort of hesitate. I hope we get another one after we have the family we want   And this particular hot tub is awesome...dude went all-out!

@alterEGGO - @DanishDoll - @FreeeVerse -  @X_naomi_X - @Daithi - Thank you guys so much for your compliments and encouragement. Steve did a great job picking this house out for us while I was still in Japan. I hope the next owner is as blessed living here as we've been.

@TheCheshireGrins - It's very "East Coast" isn't it? We can list it as "unique" becuase it's different from most of our neighborhood. There are hardly any 2-story houses around here. I'd love to ship it to you for you and the Architect to have as a wedding gift!

  • squeakysoul

WOW. I am pissed at myself for not having the money to buy it. It is so beautiful I am green with envy over the buyers. How much you asking for it?

  • BigToePeople

@squeakysoul - I would never have been able to buy this house as a single girl...I married a man who was debt-free and who is good with money.

  • zxzSweetHonestyzxz

umm can i put it on layaway! i promise ill pay for it lol! i didn't know u were moving

  • BigToePeople

@zxzSweetHonestyzxz - Yep. We're outta here in Feb for a year of adventure.

  • sir_spamalot

Very nice and convincing.... the place we live in now might be better torn down when we leave from the years of neglect before we even came along.

  • CrazyKey123

    Amazing home!

I wish I would have taken more pictures of the house my father built. It was very unique and large, and now it just doesn't belong to us anymore. It's my dream to one day live there again before I die.

Where is this house located? It's beautiful!

  • Jaynebug

What a great home! Just how tall was that tree you sat in for those shots?

  • BigToePeople

@Jaynebug - Haha...that tree was a helicopter. About a year after we moved here, there was a joint-training exercise between all the local law enforcement agencies and the air force. It was some sort of preparedness for a major emergency (nice to know they stay ready). Steve and another AF guy flew with a Customs & Border Patrol guy in his helicopter. Steve always has a camera on him, and had the presence of mind to photograph our house and some  friends houses for the day we needed to sell. A neighbor 2 houses down had to rent out his house for a short-notice move, and I was able to zoom in and crop some shots so that his house was highlighted...I heard that the aerial shot is what got his house rented out immediately. Hope that shot helps us! With all the pilots in this area, it might just do the trick.

  • Jaynebug

@BigToePeople - One of my most treasure photo's is one that came to my door.  A guy who was surveying the area by helicopter took  shots of the place where we're living.  We had just carved out a rather large garden and you could see the rounds and rows from the air.  He asked if I wanted to buy the picture. I was thrilled. Good luck with the sale.

  • fallensparrow

I'm a terrible blog friend lately!  I keep forgetting to come and comment on this post.  Your house is beautiful!!!!  I hope and pray you sell it VERY quickly and just the right buying comes along!

  • BigToePeople

@fallensparrow - Don't feel badly...I don't remember the last time I read my subs or commented. It's probably been at least a week. THanks for the prayer...we hope it sells asap too. That move is getting closer and closer. How's Gandalf?

  • fallensparrow

Gandalf seems to be doing okay...  His face still smells a little bit so Ryan is going to work over his head again tonight and we also picked up the spray so I'll freshen him up and the house when we're done...  I think (Thanks is LARGE part to you guys) that we caught it in time and the damage is minimal.  Ryan will be running over a replacement bottle later today if that's okay.  With how thick Gandalfs fur is and the fact that it's waterproof we used it all and he still stinks!  YIKES!!!  The sad part is that he's been mopeing around all day... I don't think he understands why I won't cuddle him and kiss his face but I honestly just can't stomach it.  All this to say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

  • BigToePeople

@fallensparrow - You're very welcome! I'm glad you came over...Steve played dumb and pretended he had no idea who you guys were which exasperated me until he started laughing! I think Midori holds on to the scent longer because of her waterproof undercoat. Our poor dog-babies...their sense of smell is way stronger than ours, so it must be horrible for them. I know my smelling ability was messed up for a couple of days because I took a close whiff of her direct hit. Imagine the poor canines! (and poor pregnant lady)

  • alterEGGO

I'd take it but too far from anyone I know. SIGH....I would love to have that (yard and house) here in Ca.

  • Celtic_Wandering

You have a beautiful home. Hopefully you will be able to sell it soon. Love the dining table!

  • BigToePeople

@Celtic_Wandering - Thank you. I hope it sells before we move because then we don't have to pay a realtor.

  • DanishDoll

Did you get a picture of the skunks? I know... I'm bad. Sorry!
